Music Now Dj's are the leading professional dj service on the Central Coast providing musical entertainment at events. We are known as a very personalized DJ service, tailoring to the needs of the client during the planning stages of their event, as well as having very personable & interactive skills at their event. We perform at weddings, corporate functions, anniversaries, school dances and birthdays. (Weddings are our specialty). Customer satisfaction is our number one goal.
DUTIES SUMMARY: The person that fills this position would be responsible for carrying out all relevant tasks to ensure or exceed his or her clients' expectations at the celebration. Examples would be: accomodating musical requests, formalities, and understanding the needs and wants of the client as the acting master of ceremonies. Major duties at the event include: Setting up all necessary sound music and lighting equipment, playing appropriate music that relates to the crowd, conducting all necessary announcements by microphone, and coordinating events.
QUALIFICATION SUMMARY: Must have the ability to read a crowd to determine interaction and musical selections. Must have some mobile disc jockey experience, or experience performing in front of an audience. At least some troubleshooting and operating knowledge of professional sound equipment. Familiarity and knowledge with vast musical styles and keeping up with current billboard hits.
Must be available on weekends, especially Saturdays. Must have current California drivers license and clean driving record to operate company vehicles. Must be honest, personable, outgoing, energetic, responsible, and dedicated.
HIRING PROCESS: Approved candidates will receive onsite and in office training during an evaluation period. This process will then determine employment.
PAY: Pay is varied, based on the type of event booked and experience/talent. Setup Technician position is also available.
